Tamela Gartman's Banana Pudding

I first tasted banana pudding at my Nanny's Sunday table. She scratched it up the old-fashioned way. This is my adaptation of a great dessert. This recipe is my father's favorite and it is super easy because it involves no cooking!

Ingredients:
1-2 boxes Nilla Vanilla Wafers (do not substitute brand), regular or mini size
3 ¼ cup Milk
1 can Sweetened condensed milk
8 oz. tub Whipped cream cheese
8 oz. tub Cool whip (thawed)
1 large box Instant Vanilla Pudding (no cook)
5-6 Bananas cut in coins
Directions:
Mix milk and pudding with a hand-held mixer until it is smooth.
Add the condensed milk and cream cheese and mix until smooth.
Add the cool whip last and mix in carefully by hand.
Choose a glass bowl if possible to show off this dish -- a trifle bowl is ideal.

Begin layering:
Wafers (try running wafers up the edge of the bowl)
Bananas
Pudding
Continue until you end on pudding and decorate with wafers.

Cover with clear wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of 12 hours.
Enjoy and watch people smile as they eat this dessert!
